Terra Nova Nurseries celebrates open house from Farwest Show

Varieties showcased included Echinacea "Fringe Festival," Agastache "Prince’s Plume," Heuchera "Iridescent" and Coreopsis NOVA "Amber."

Terra Nova Nurseries hosted its 2025 open house event at the company’s facility in Canby, Oregon, during the Farwest Show week in August. The event attracted a crowd of nearly 100 guests across the horticulture industry, including growers, buyers, brokers and other trade professionals.

Guests connected with Terra Nova’s breeding and sales teams, got a first-hand look at the company’s latest variety introductions and learned about the inspiration behind these new varieties.

“The energy and enthusiasm throughout the week were incredible,” says Larry Finley, sales manager at Terra Nova Nurseries. “There’s nothing quite like seeing people walk through our gardens, ask questions, and share their excitement over our latest breeding breakthroughs and cultivars; it keeps us inspired to think about what is next and how we can continue pushing the boundaries of unique horticulture.”

Several varieties were showcased during the event, including Echinacea "Fringe Festival," Agastache "Prince’s Plume," Heuchera "Iridescent" and Coreopsis NOVA "Amber."

Guests also had the opportunity to take home giveaways, including seed storage boxes, garden bucket hats, sample flats, repotting mats, soil scoops and brushes, personal belt fans, glass lens cleaners and “propagation buddies" designed to hold stem cuttings during rooting.

Terra Nova Nurseries is already setting its sights on 2026 for its open house next August. The company’s management team plans to continue expanding its open house program.
