The Bruce Company of Wisconsin, a Middleton-based full-service landscaping firm, has purchased 5.85 acres in Milwaukee for a new local office and training center.
The building will be constructed by Ogden Construction, a division of real estate firm Ogden & Company Inc., and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year, Ogden & Co. said Tuesday in a press release.
Quorum Architects, of Milwaukee, designed the building, which will include “green” features such as a metal roof, exterior finishes using local recycled materials and a rain garden to control storm runoff.
“This property will help us to better serve our customers and provides us with room for expansion,” said Jeff Joutras, vice president of sales and marketing for The Bruce Co.
The Bruce Co. has approximately 50 employees from the Milwaukee area during the peak landscape season.
