GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenery is opening a new commercial operation in Greenville, South Carolina.
To jumpstart this expansion, The Greenery recently acquired Rivertop Contracting’s South Carolina Division, headquartered in Greenville.
This expansion will allow The Greenery to provide clients in South Carolina’s upstate with the same commercial landscape services that businesses, municipalities and POAs in other parts of the state have used for decades.
“We are excited to bring our employee-owned company to the community of Greenville and look forward to providing quality landscape services to the people and businesses in this area," said CEO Lee Edwards. "Moving into the Upstate has been a goal of The Greenery for a long time, and we are proud that it is now a reality.”
Founded in 1973, The Greenery has grown to over 800 employee-owners and continues to grow with this acquisition. This latest move is a part of a recent expansion into parts of Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. It ranked No. 29 on Lawn & Landscape's 2020 Top 100 list.
