The Harvest Group has added landscape industry veteran Chris Semko as a head harvester, bringing more than 20 years of leadership, operational experience and industry roots to its consulting team.
Semko’s career has been built in the field and in the owner’s seat. Over two decades, he helped grow and scale landscape businesses, most notably guiding a family-owned company from $2 million to $25 million in annual revenue. His experience spans organic growth, franchise environments and private-equity ownership.
“Chris has lived the same challenges our clients face every day – tight labor markets, rising costs, growing pains, and the pressure of leadership,” says Bill Arman, founding head harvester of The Harvest Group. “He’s not coming at this from a spreadsheet or a textbook. He’s been in the truck, in the yard and in the office making tough decisions. That credibility matters.”
At The Harvest Group, Semko will work directly with landscape company owners and leadership teams, delivering hands-on consulting focused on aligning people, sales, and operations while improving financial and operational performance through practical, measurable strategies.
“The green industry has given me everything,” Semko says. “I’ve had great mentors, learned some lessons the hard way, and experienced what it feels like to carry the weight of ownership. Becoming a Harvester is about giving that experience back – helping contractors build strong, disciplined companies and lives they actually enjoy.”
