A three-year-old boy was injured in Lindon, Utah, on Saturday morning when his father backed into him with a riding lawn mower.
Pleasant Grove police Captain Cody Cullimore said the boy was following the mower without his father's knowledge.
The child was flown to Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City to be treated for major cuts to his left foot and thigh. He also lost a toe.
The accident is a reminder to all mower operators – consumers and professionals alike – that mower safety should always be a priority.
