One college student will earn a $2,500 helping hand from the FitzGibbon Scholarship to offset the expense of higher education. The Professional Lawn Care Association of America (PLCAA) is accepting applications for this scholarship through Sept. 30.
The FitzGibbon Scholarship is sponsored by LECSO and given in memory of James FitzGibbon, the company's late president and CEO, who co-founded the half-billion-dollar green industry leader in 1962. Qualified applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a full-time student and show scholastic achievement, financial need, and a desire to purse a green industry career.
Additional PLCAA awards program categories include Environmental Improvement, Community Service, Best Yellow Pages, Allied Regional
Association and Picture Perfect. Winners in these categories will be recognized at the Annual Meeting and Dinner at PLCAA's Green Industry Conference, held in conjunction with the Green Industry Expo in Nashville, Tenn., Nov. 13 to 16, 2002.
For more information and entry forms, contact Amy DeFaveri at 800/458-3466 or e-mail adefaveri@plcaa.org.
