For companies who aren’t already using business management software, Brandon Miller of Ikon Landscape recommends it. He also gives two pieces of advice when it comes to implementing it.
“First, do it in the slow season,” he says. “Start in November and really dig in.”
Miller says making the switch in the slow season will ensure companies have a full grasp on how to use the software before the busiest time of year begins.
It also gives everyone plenty of time to train as well.
He also warns against trying to use only part of the software.
“Use the entire system as it was intended,” he says. “Don’t try to piece parts of the system to fill a gap within your own company. It just creates more work for you, and it doesn’t really work out.”
