BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – The Toro Company, a provider of outdoor power equipment for commercial landscape professionals, announced July 20 that it has created a dedicated unit of personnel to manage and service its national and corporate accounts. The new national accounts team will be lead by Eddie Clark, president of Professional Turf Products in Dallas, Texas.
National accounts have become a significant part of Toro’s business in the past five years, according to the company. Toro employees working with domestic national accounts customers will now be unified under a single department, thereby allowing them to increase the level of service they are able to provide. Toro’s national accounts customers will also now be serviced by all Toro branded products in simple transactions.
"I strongly believe that we must implement this national accounts strategy now so we can secure these accounts today and be part of their growth tomorrow," said Toro Chairman and CEO Ken Melrose. "I know this move will make Toro a stronger company, one that is better able to accommodate the demands of key customers."
