The Toro Company will be among those honored in a 9/11 ceremony to take place in Minneapolis, Minn., on the two-year anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
The event is meant to honor the people, service families and companies of greater Minneapolis who have demonstrated commitment and dedication to the United States in the years since the 9/11 tragedy. Awards will be presented to groups and individuals, including those who have offered relief efforts, community service and military service in Iraq.
And, specifically, Toro, Bloomington, Minn., will be celebrated for its support of the relief efforts at ground zero in New York and at the Pentagon. The green industry manufacturer contributed “Toro-Workman” heavy-duty vehicles for transportation at the two sites. Toro employees contributed monetary donations and organized blood drives for the victims as well.
