Fla
Toro is the equipment of choice for the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Park.

When the Boston Red Sox open their 2003 baseball season at Fenway Park on April 11, there will be a new player on the field – Toro.

Toro has been named the preferred ground equipment of Fenway Park. Turf Products Corporation, the local Toro distributor, is also recognized as the preferred ground equipment supplier to the Boston Red Sox.

“Toro equipment is now part of our home field advantage,” shared David Mellor, director of grounds for the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club. “The wide variety of products available in the Toro line will help with turf maintenance, infield care and creating ideal conditions on the field at Fenway Park.”

To help Mellor maintain and decorate Fenway Park, Toro will provide a fleet of products, including: Toro Workman utility vehicles, Toro ProCore aerators, Toro Reelmaster 3100-D’s with Sidewinder cutting unit, Toro Infield Pro groomers and Toro Greensmaster walk-behind reel mowers.

“We are excited to supply the turf equipment needs for such a historic and high-profile ball park as Fenway Park,” observed John Ferry, vice president of commercial products at Turf Products Corporation. “David Mellor is an outstanding grounds manager, and we look forward to supporting his efforts for both safe conditions and aesthetically pleasing designs.”

Toro and its distributors have strong partnerships with many Major League Baseball and NFL sports venues and events, noted Dale Getz, U.S. sports turf manager for The Toro Company. “Toro is proud to be part of the legacy of Fenway Park, a stadium with a rich history that has served home for many baseball legends.”
