ST. LOUIS, Mo. – In order to honor the 35th anniversary of Earth Day, Total Landscape held activities in conjunction with the Mehlville School District on Wednesday, April 20.
The Earth Day activities included an informational student assembly and a tree planting ceremony at Blades Elementary School. Each student received a packet of flowering bulbs as a token of the Earth Day festivities.
Total Landscape has a long-standing history of supporting local community outreach initiatives; other charitable groups and organizations they have raised awareness and funds for include Angels Arms, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital; as well as other events and activities within the Mehlville School District.
Patrick Wallace, Mehlville School District’s Director of Community Relations added, “We’re glad to have a great community partner like Total Landscape, and we hope this will be the first of many events where we have the chance to collaborate with Bob Franey and the Total Landscape team.”
Franey, owner of the St. Louis-based company says, “We’re proud to be a supporter of the students and families of Blades Elementary and the Mehlville School District. The Earth Day celebration was a way for Total Landscape to give back to the community it serves.”
Franey also noted that the event with the local community was one way for Total Landscape to celebrate its recent facility move. "Because our company and staff firmly believes in 'building relationships one landscape at a time,' we felt we had to get involved with the local community as soon as our recent move was completed,” he says. “We're proud to be a supporter of the students and families of Blades Elementary and the Mehlville School District."
