ATLANTA, Ga. – Landscape contractors who attended the Lawn & Landscape Conference and Trade Show this weekend topped off their training toolbox with sessions to help them build their business and operations skill sets. More than 200 attendees from all regions took advantage of the educational opportunity March 5, 6 and 7 at the Renaissance Waverly in Atlanta, Ga.
The event kicked off with a site tour of NatureScapes, a Lilburn, Ga.-based landscape maintenance company that specializes in service for multi-family and commercial properties. A recipient of several state design awards, owner Rick Upchurch introduced his operation to attendees and shared valuable operations insight.
Headline speaker Bob Clements opened the event Friday afternoon with a discussion on employee efficiency (see Attitude vs. Aptitude), followed by a session on company structure led by Chris Davitt, Ruppert Nurseries, and a panel discussion on insurance with Dick Bare, Arbor-Nomics, Norcross, Ga., and Michael Weisburger of Weisburger Green Insurance.
Additionally, the conference offered a lawn care track and a special roundtable discussion on supply chain news and views and dealer relations, hosted by Commercial Dealer magazine.
