Two Missouri Lawn-Care Businesses Join Forces

The Louisburg- and Stilwell-based firms cited a desire to serve customers better and make better use of resources as the reason they merged to form a full-service lawncare and landscaping business.

A desire to serve customers better and make better use of their resources led a Louisburg business and a Stilwell business to merge at the beginning of the year.

After seven years as independent companies, RS Lawn & Landscape of Louisburg and Lawns Unlimited of Stilwell merged to form RS Unlimited, a full-service lawncare and landscaping business.

After years of being friends sharing equipment and ideas, owners Ryan Bauer, Christian Gerber and Brad Siebert are excited about the prospect of officially working together.

“If we weren’t before, we are the largest lawn and landscaping contractor in Miami County,” Bauer said.

Now, instead of having a few crews for each aspect of lawncare, Bauer said there will be six or seven mowing crews, a full-time landscape crew and a full-time landscape maintenance crew.

Louisburg customers may be most familiar with Bauer’s work, as RS Lawn & Landscape had been based in Louisburg for the last seven years and opened a retail store, Landscaper’s Supply, last year.

But Gerber and Siebert are confident both companies’ customers will be happy with the service of RS Unlimited.
“We’re the same faces, just a whole new name,” Gerber said.

Gerber and Siebert started in lawncare by mowing lawns in high school, and the business grew out of the demand they saw for their services.

With the businesses merging, RS Unlimited will be broadening the offerings at Landscaper’s Supply to include 250 more items at the store, such as bulk rock, a full line of gardening products, plants, trees and shrubs. The additional items should be in the store around March 1, Bauer said.
