ORLANDO, Fla. - U.S. Lawns (USL), the national landscape maintenance franchise division of landscape and horticultural services organization Environmental Industries Inc., announced Dec. 12, 2000, the addition of its newest franchise: U. S. Lawns of North Charlotte, Davidson, N.C. The latest franchise addition brings USL’s franchise total to 77 locations throughout the United States.
Owners William and Sheila Atwell will specialize in providing landscape maintenance services to commercial clients throughout the greater Charlotte area. The Atwells bring years of landscape and operations experience to the new USL branch. In addition to working as a golf course maintenance and landscape installation contractor for 14 years, William Atwell received a bachelor's degree in horticultural science from North Carolina State University.
USL Vice President Ken Hutcheson said, “We are pleased with the expansion of U.S. Lawns in North Carolina, and welcome the Atwells' experience in our industry.” Hutcheson also said that the addition of the branch in North Charlotte will complement the USL presence in Raleigh, N.C.
