U.S. Lawns has announced the winner of its Franchise of the Year award – U.S. Lawns of Saint Lucie County, Fla.
The winning franchise is owned and operated by John Purvis and Gayle Moore. The Port Saint Lucie pair, who previously worked in the food distribution industry, purchased their franchise in the 1990s and built it into a successful local enterprise.
U.S. Lawns recently presented the honor at its conference in St. Petersburg, Fla. The commercial landscape maintenance franchise organization in the United State has marked its 18th successful year of operations – and announced an 18-percent increase in its number of franchisees, which now totals 125 in 27 states.
“Our growth and success are in part due to our ability to attract strong players from within the green industry, while adding some very talented and successful owners from outside the industry,” noted Kenneth Hutcheson, president of U.S. Lawns. “The market in commercial properties today is extremely competitive. U.S. Lawns offers its franchisees a simple business model that has proved successful over the course of many years.”
The company also unveiled a new financing plan that allows franchisees to expand the business, purchase new equipment and get preferred financing rates. LESCO, Inc. is a partner in the plan.
