Greeley, Colo.-based UAP Holding Corp., a distributor of seeds, fertilizers and pest and weed killers, named Michael E. Ducey to its board as an independent director, filling the seat vacated by the resignation of Robert Katz.
Ducey is the retired president, CEO and director of Compass Minerals International Inc. Compass is the second-leading salt producer in North America and the largest in Britain.
Prior to joining Compass in April 2002, Ducey was president and CEO of Borden Chemical, and had a 30-year career with the company.
