DANBURY, Conn. – United Green Mark, Inc. and Shemin Nurseries, Inc. have joined forces to expand Shemin’s irrigation businesses under the leadership and corporate identity of United Green Mark. UGM, based in Novato, Calif., will provide direction of the 11 existing irrigation branches in the Atlanta, Raleigh, Charlotte, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York markets. Additionally, UGM plans to open new irrigation distribution sites in other Eastern and Midwestern locations.
Shemin Nurseries customers will continue to work with their existing irrigation sales and service representatives and pay for all of their landscape and irrigation products on one Shemin Nurseries invoice.
“We are excited about this development because it positions us as a strong contender in the national irrigation market,” explained United Green Mark President Ron Sentman.
“It makes perfect sense for Shemin to leverage the outstanding strength and experience of the UGM team to lead the irrigation business in the East,” added Shemin Holdings CEO Steffan Burns. “This makes UGM a national player in the irrigation industry and sets the stage for further expansion. We look forward to improving the breadth and consistency of our irrigation offerings on a national basis under UGM’s leadership.”
