NEW YORK - Century Rain Aid parent company Richton International Corp. said Jan. 16, 2001, it had received unsolicited interest from an unnamed party to buy the company, according to a Reuters news story.
Richton is a wholesale distributor of irrigation products through its Century Rain Aid subsidiary and reseller of computer and systems integration products through its CBE Technologies Inc. and Creative Business Concepts subsidiaries. The company said its board and management are reviewing their options.
Century Rain Aid distributes sprinkler irrigation systems, outdoor lighting and decorative fountain equipment in 33 states, mostly in the eastern half of the United States and in Ontario, Canada. Century's primary customers are irrigation and landscape contractors who install irrigation systems for commercial, residential and golf course watering systems.
