Valent U.S.A. Announces New Director of Marketing

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced that Kevin Hammill has joined the company as senior director of marketing. Hammill will join Valent’s leadership team in Walnut Creek, Calif., and will report to president and chief operating officer, Trevor Thorley.

As senior director of marketing, Hammill will be responsible for launching the new products Valent has in the pipeline, as well as optimizing market share for Valent’s current portfolio of products.

Thorley said that Hammill is an excellent fit for the leadership and marketing team at Valent. “Kevin brings an enormous amount of commercial experience to Valent,” Thorley said. “He has solid marketing and sales experience along with strong financial acumen.”

Hammill has had steadily increasing responsibility in the agricultural industry for 15 years. He has experience managing brands throughout their life cycles. He has directed and managed numerous successful brand launches and has turned around negative trends for products in competitive, mature markets.

Hammill most recently held the position of global strategic marketing manager for a top agricultural chemical company. He has also served as marketing and sales director, sales manager, product manager and territory manager.

Thorley added that he is looking forward to the future, with Hammill and the other leadership team members at the helm. “This is an exciting time for Valent. We have a really bright future, and I see Kevin at the center of that,” he said.
