ValleyCrest Cos. continues its expansion in the Southeast with the acquisition of Atlanta-based Scapes, a $16 million-plus landscape maintenance and design/build firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Scapes, founded in 1982, ranked 88th on Lawn & Landscape’s list (PDF) of the nation’s Top 100 landscape companies in 2007. ValleyCrest, with $870 million revenue in 2006, ranked No. 2, second only to The TruGreen Cos.

Scapes’ executive team – Managing Partner Ken Thomas and Principals Pete Wilkerson, Evan Rogers and Steve Krumnaker – all will remain with ValleyCrest.
