ValleyCrest Acquires Virginia-based Landscape Maintenance Company

The national full-service landscape firm acquired Pine Ridge Landscaping, a landscape maintenance services company based in Chantilly.

National full-service landscape firm ValleyCrest Cos. acquired Pine Ridge Landscaping, a landscape maintenance services company based in Chantilly, Va.

Founded in 1986, Pine Ridge was owned and operated by William Cumberland and Wayne Shiveley, and is a provider of landscape maintenance and related services to clients throughout the Washington D.C.-metro area.

“Pine Ridge has built an excellent reputation as the number one company in the commercial market in the Washington DC-metro area and provides a great complement to our existing business in the D.C.-metro region,” says Roger Zino, president, ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance. “Pine Ridge is known for operational excellence, high quality work, extraordinary responsiveness to its customers needs, and a strong employee team. These qualities are consistent with our objectives of completely satisfying each of our customers and building the best workforce in the business.”  He adds, “We are very excited to bring the Pine Ridge leadership team, their knowledge and their work force of over 200 employees into the ValleyCrest family.  We have been very impressed with their innovativeness in operating their business, which is known nationwide.”

The addition of Pine Ridge supports ValleyCrest’s broader company strategy of being the leading provider of landscape maintenance services in each market it serves, and specifically this acquisition builds on ValleyCrest’s strong presence in the Washington DC-metro area.  Washington DC is one of the best landscape markets in the country and is a strategically important market for ValleyCrest, where the company has built and maintains some of the leading properties in the area, such as: The National Museum of the American Indian, The Census Bureau, and The Gaylord National Hotel & Convention Center.

To support and drive the business in this region, Zino also announced that ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance will expand its leadership team with the addition of William Cumberland who will become regional vice president, D.C.-metro region for ValleyCrest Landscape Maintenance, and Wayne Shiveley as vice president, DC-metro region, reporting to William. They will be joined by Larry Leon, regional manager of ValleyCrest’s existing D.C.-metro maintenance operations, to form the leadership team who work together to take ValleyCrest’s business to the next level in this key market.
