SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - Vita Professional Outdoor Lighting, made two personnel additions recently, reports Cruz Pérez, vice president of marketing for the company.

Based in Concord, Calif., Robert Betsch is the new district trainer for Northern California and western Nevada. Betsch will oversee all Vista educational programs and product field support from the Monterey Bay area north to the California border and east to Reno, Nev.
Additionally, Betsch will lead regional low voltage lighting seminars for landscape professionals who want to sharpen their sales and installation skills. The Vista programs are open to all contractors, maintenance personnel and landscape designers. Topics covered in the presentations include marketing and selling lighting, basic design techniques, cable and transformers sizing, lamp selection and photometrics, voltage drop and troubleshooting.

Also bolstering Vista’s staff is Darrin Wood who has been named the new national sales manager for commercial and industrial accounts. Based at the company’s headquarters, Wood will direct Vista low voltage and line voltage sales activities for commercial and industrial installations, and will be a liaison between the company and national distributors, landscape architects, designers and lighting engineers. He will also coordinate all commercial trade show activities and oversee product introductions and support.
