WAC Lighting receives new patent

PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. – WAC Lighting was recently granted a new patent that covers landscape lighting products, U.S. Patent No. 10,571,101. WAC Lighting’s technology is protected by several patents and pending patent applications, including U.S. Patent Numbers: 9,784,440; 10,190,757; 10,208,935; 10,323,832; 10,330,294; and 10,465,888

Last week, WAC reached a settlement of a patent litigation suit filed against a company which agreed to no longer sell or distribute the landscape lighting products implicated in the lawsuit.

“We invest significant resources on the research and development of our technology,” WAC Lighting President and CEO Shelley Wald said. “We will not hesitate to enforce our intellectual property rights through injunctive relief and seek further relief through damages if we have reason to believe the patents are being infringed upon.”
