Walters Gardens Web sites recently received some of the highest honors available in the trade. At the National Agri-Marketing Association awards ceremony, held in January in Minneapolis, the company received a first place and merit award for the sites.
The company’s flagship Web site, www.WaltersGardens.com, received first place and its consumer Web site, www.PerennialResource.com, received the merit award. Only one of each award is given for each region; Walters Gardens won for Region III (Midwest).
The receipt of these awards carries even more significance since Region III is one of the most competitive regions in the country. It contains some of the largest agri-marketing clients in the country such as Syngenta, John Deere, Bayer CropScience, DuPont Crop Protection and Pioneer Hi-Bred International.
The company is now eligible to advance to the national awards competition where it will compete with agricultural businesses across the entire United States.
Approximately one year ago, Walters Gardens re-launched its three redesigned and updated Web sites: www.WaltersGardens.com, www.PerennialResource.com and www.GrowDesignerPlants.com.
Paulsen Marketing, a full service advertising and marketing agency based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, created the framework and programming for the sites while Walters Gardens was responsible for all of the content as well as helping to design the look and function of the sites. Online ordering for wholesale customers was added to www.WaltersGardens.com in 2009. To date, more than 3 million people have visited the sites.
