Connections hatch opportunities. Brian Cressy offers three tips for forming valuable relationships.
1. Join industry associations. They offer educational seminars and networking with like-minded people.
2. Go local. Get involved in organizations such as your local Chamber of Commerce. These groups offer marketing, networking and educational opportunities in close to home.
3. Give back. Volunteer your time or resources to local non-profits. Cressy has been involved with the Boys and Girls Club as a Board Member for about eight years. He has also helped out with the Make–A-Wish-Foundation.
