Weathermatic has appointed Josh Rives as vice president of software.
Rives will lead the company’s growing software division and spearhead work in artificial intelligence and digital irrigation solutions.

Rives brings more than 20 years of engineering and product leadership experience, including serving as partner and engineering department lead at Dialexa, an IBM company. There he oversaw more than 160 engineers and 25 product teams responsible for over $30 million in revenue. He has also founded and led his own technology consulting firm, delivering solutions for clients ranging from Apple to high-growth startups.
“As we continue our transformation into a software-driven climate tech company, Josh’s experience and vision will accelerate our ability to innovate at scale,” says Lex Mason, president of Weathermatic. “He will be a key leader in helping us serve our partners, grow our platform, and lead the industry in leveraging AI to solve complex challenges in irrigation.”
