Werk-Brau introduces the 40EX-HD Brush Shredder, a robust tool that transforms backhoes and compact excavators into powerful mulchers and long-reach boom mowers. With a 40-inch cutting width, and triple flail knives that cut material up to 5-inches, this 1,170-pound machine turns trees, brush and woody material into mulch, quickly and easily.
Built tough for remote work, this brush shredder features a heavy-duty, single-piece frame, a ½-inch thick cutter drum and 3/8” thick end plates. A standard piston motor requires 25-54 GPM of hydraulic flow and adapts to high-pressure power units, while the direct drive design maximizes power to the cutter drum. An electronically balanced cutter drum with serviceable hubs ensures straight shafts that run smooth for years of reliable service. An integrated thumb saddle works like a bucket to grab and remove debris or reposition logs. Anti-Wrap wire guards protect bearings and seals from debris. Composite dampener washer isolates vibration and increases drive compo
