David Anderson, global leadership speaker and author of Leader Is Not a Title, is confirmed as a featured speaker for Thought Leaders Retreat 2026. Now in its sixth year, the 2026 event will take place July 27-29 at Live! by Loews in Arlington, Texas. LandScaling returns as presenting partner.
Anderson is a former global board member of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, representing more than 18,000 entrepreneurs across 70 countries. He is also a former White House representative and currently serves as CEO of LighthousePE. His session will focus on leadership identity and performance under pressure.
"I work with entrepreneurs who run complex, people-dependent businesses where the margin for leadership error is small," Anderson says. "As companies grow, leaders start to confront the gap between who they believe they are as leaders and how they actually show up when decisions carry real consequences. In a room like TLR, you can look at that honestly with people who understand what's at stake. That's work most leaders don't get space to do."
The Thought Leaders Retreat is limited to 150 landscape company owners and C-suite executives. Anderson will also lead an optional pre-event half-day session on July 27, limited to 35 registered TLR attendees, focused on helping owners navigate the shift from founder-led to leadership-driven organizations.
Registration for the 2026 Thought Leaders Retreat is $1,795 per person, with preferred pricing available for companies registering three or more attendees.
"Running a company at scale can be isolating in ways that are hard to explain to people who haven't done it," says Joe Kujawa, founder of the Thought Leaders Retreat and practice leader at Wilson360. "The decisions are constant, the stakes are real, and there are very few people who will test your thinking. We started TLR to create that room. The sessions bring them together. What happens between them is why they return."
