The Wake County school system is accusing a lawn care company of negligently killing more than 1,000 trees and bushes at schools in the southern part of the district.
In a lawsuit filed Nov. 4 in Wake County Superior Court, the Wake school system says Sands Lawn Care Pesticide & Maintenance violated its landscaping services contract by using chemical herbicides without permission. The result, according to the complaint, was “killing and damaging hundreds to thousands of trees and bushes.”
