Weed Man collects 108,000 pounds of food for Grassroots Giving

The company mobilized its teams across North America to collect food donations from customers in their respective communities during their regularly scheduled lawn appointments.

Weed Man recently rolled out their trucks and tasked franchisees to collect food from customers across North America.

During the 2nd Annual Grassroots Giving, Weed Man collected more than 108,000 pounds of food for local food banks, equivalent to over 90,000 meals. The company mobilized its teams across North America to collect food donations from customers in their respective communities during their regularly scheduled lawn appointments.

“We cannot thank our customers enough, and I want to give a special thank you to our franchisees for showing up for their communities,” says Jen Lemcke, CEO of Weed Man. “Over these last two years combined, the Weed Man network has collected more than 184,000 pounds of food across North America, which is over 150,000 meals. That is beyond incredible, and it only represents a fraction of the good work our franchisees are doing for their communities all year round.”

“The impact of this donation goes far beyond the numbers. We are deeply grateful for Weed Man’s ongoing support and their commitment to standing with us in the fight against hunger,” says a representative from the Regina Food Bank in Regina, Ontario.

Weed Man intends to participate in Grassroots Giving again next year.

“Our company was literally built one community and one franchise at a time,” adds Lemcke. “And when these franchises pull together to help all their communities, the results are truly heartwarming to watch. I have never been prouder to be on Team Weed Man.”
