February Sweepstakes Winner – No Stranger to Technology

Balsinger Landscaping receives a technological boost with free CLIP software.

FOUNTAIN INN, S.C. – James Balsinger's technology background currently allows him to organize his company operations quickly and efficiently. However, as the winner of the Lawn & Landscape online sweepstakes for February, Balsinger will be able to further advance his technological focus with CLIP software.

Balsinger, owner, Balsinger Landscaping, Fountain Inn, S.C. started his company in 1990 after spending several years in the computer industry as a systems manager. "I had always enjoyed landscaping as a hobby, so I decided to start getting paid for it," he joked. Today, the company focuses principally on commercial properties, with a few residential accounts, and employs four full-time employees.

Balsinger said he entered the contest to win the CLIP software with the hopes to boost business and improve organization. However, his experience with technology has helped the company develop an already efficient operations system over the years. "The technology I'm using right now is excellent for our business," he admitted.

CLIP software offers scheduling, routing, job costing, billing and additional capabilities for faster, more accurate organization and smoother operations. And although Balsinger feels his current technology systems work for his company, he's anxious to test-drive the CLIP program. "I'll try the different aspects [of the program] and see what happens," he said.
