Giving back to those who gave the most

This Memorial Day, take a look at ways the green industry has given back to our servicemen and women.

This Memorial Day, we wanted to take a look back at all of the good work in the industry that's been done in honor of our fallen servicemen and women.

For more than two decades, lawn care and landscaping professionals have descended on Arlington Cemetery to honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. We've been lucky enough to join in the work and report on the good work for several years:

Green goes the capital

A family affair

Gone but not forgotten

A service industry

This year, the event will take place July 16. To register, visit the event website.

If you're looking for other ways to give back, here are a couple to consider:

In 208, GreenCare for Troops will celebrate its 12th year offering lawn care and landscape services for families of deployed military personnel and post-9/11 veterans with service-related disabilities.

If you'd like to get involved, visit their website. And if you offer snow and ice removal services, you can register to volunteer with SnowCare for Troops as well.
